About Ottilie Paperie.

Ottilie Paperie began after I created my own birth announcement while pregnant with my daughter. I had searched everywhere for something that felt personal and beautifully made, but struggled to find illustrated commissions that truly captured our family in a natural way. I wanted something soft and painterly, with the charm of an old storybook illustration, but still recognisable as us.

What started as a card for our own family quickly became the beginning of Ottilie Paperie: a small studio creating bespoke birth announcements designed to feel timeless, personal, and quietly special.

Each piece is created from family photographs and printed on hand-deckled German etching paper using fine art giclée printing, giving the cards a textured, heirloom quality. Inspired by English paper goods, watercolour illustration, and sentimental keepsakes, the aim is to create announcements that feel as lovely to keep as they are to send.

These are modern birth announcements, made slowly and thoughtfully, for families who want something a little more personal than the traditional template.
